‘Ōlelo Community Media welcomes a diversity of voices and it only takes a brief look at our channels to see a wide range of voices on every conceivable topic. Some voices you'll agree with and some will challenge your beliefs, but we think you'll agree that free speech is essential for a free and open society.
It's quite easy to air a program on ‘Ōlelo's channels. If you're an O`ahu resident over 18 years of age and have an already existing program that you would like other O`ahu residents to see, become a Presenter and submit the program for cablecast.

Here are the steps for submitting a program for cablecast for O‘ahu residents over 18 years of age.
1) Call a CMC to make an appointment for a brief orientation about becoming a program Presenter. If you would like to start on the paperwork before your appointment, ask them to send you a Presenter's Packet.
2) Come in for an orientation with your tape (and paperwork, if desired). Watch the 17 minute orientation video.
3) Complete the Client Registration Form and Playback Request
4) Prepare your tape for cablecast
5) Submit your tape(s) after your orientation or to any Community Media Center.
It's important to note that each Presenter or Producer is responsible for the content of the programs they submit and must obtain the proper rights for cablecast and distribution via the Internet. Read the Playback Request Form thoroughly, sign and submit it with your program. If your program is 15 minutes or less in length, you'll be asked to submit a Server Request Form.
6) If your program is time-sensitive, meaning the content of the program will no longer be relevant after a certain date, let us know that date on your program submittal form and we will attempt to air the program before that date.
7) If you feel viewers on the neighbor islands will benefit from seeing your program, click here for Neighbor Island submission info.
8) Within a week, we will contact you with your airdates which are generally four weeks from the date of submittal. This four week window is to ensure that your program is listed in the newspapers. If you give us your email address when you submit your tape and Playback Request, we will email your airdates. Otherwise we will contact you by phone.
9) Promote your airdates using these guidelines.
10) Pick up your tape after the program has completed its airing cycle by calling 834-0007 extension 199.
